PSHE at Goldington Green Academy
PSHE promotes the spiritual, moral, cultural, social, mental and physical development of pupils and of society. It gives children the knowledge, skills and understanding to develop confidence and responsibility and makes the most of pupils’ abilities. It prepares pupils to play an active role as citizens, develop a healthy lifestyle, develop good relationships and respect the differences between people.
It is taught through three core themes:
· Health and Wellbeing
· Relationships
· Living in the Wider World
Weekly lessons are linked to the school value of the month, a list of which is available on the website.

Goldington Green Academy has achieved the Silver level Modeshift STARS accreditation . This acknowledges the excellent practice of the school in sustainable school travel. Sustainable, healthy travel aims to improve the health and well being of our school community whilst caring for our environment.
Modeshift Star Awards 2019
We are pleased to announce that we have been awarded the Modeshift Stars Bronze accreditation. Last year we worked very hard as a school to become more active in the way we travel to school. We participated in several events throughout the year. One of the biggest ones being the Walk to School Week in May. Where many children loved getting active and walking to school.
Everyone should be very proud of their efforts. Thank you to adults at home for supporting a more active approach to travelling to school. Keep up the good work and look at for the upcoming events.
