Intent
We are a school which champions Values-Led Education and as such PSHE is at the heart of our curriculum.
Our curriculum prepares pupils to play an active role as citizens; develop a healthy lifestyle; develop good relationships and respect the differences between people.
Implementation
Our PSHE curriculum is designed to be accessible to all pupils and to respect and celebrate the diversity of our school community.
PSHE is delivered through three core themes: Health and Wellbeing,
Relationships and Living in the Wider World.
PSHE lessons involve lots of discussion, allowing all children to air their views and ask questions within a safe space.
We also make significant use of scenario role play and videos in order to allow children the opportunity to explore the impact of choices they make.
We ensure all children are able to contribute and share ideas equally.
Impact
Pupils at GGA understand our school values and are able to talk clearly about how to live by them.
They leave us as responsible young people who are able to consider their actions and the impact of those actions on others.
Our children understand how to keep themselves and how to conduct themselves as members of a global society.
