Intent
Art at GGA provides pupils with an opportunity to express themselves creatively.
Engaging with a varied range of artistic media, pupils will develop their skills but also their ability to refine work.

Exposure to a broad range of international artists and styles will provide an inspiration from which ideas can take flight.
Implementation
Our art curriculum allows pupils to work with materials including painting, drawing, sculpting and photography. We explore a range of materials and media such as pastels.

All pupils are encouraged to be imaginative but are also provided with first-hand experiences in order to develop their ideas.

Our curriculum explores a range of artists and skills. Our pupils are encouraged to take part in art competitions as well.
Impact
Pupils at GGA enjoy the opportunities provided to create artwork and share it with their peers.
Work is showcased at events during the school year and also in local competitions.
The project work completed with local artists adorns our school and celebrates the multi-cultural diversity of our school community.
